I was born in Martinez, California and committed my life to Jesus at the age of fifteen at a youth retreat. Since then I’ve been seeking to find God’s call for my life. I was greatly influenced in college by personal discipleship and the Christian small groups at UC Davis, where I studied electrical engineering and spent time with other young people who had a heart to grow and follow Jesus. From that foundation came many opportunities to impact others in my early career as a Hewlett Packard manufacturing engineer, as a member of my church, and later as a missionary in Eastern Europe.
One of my life mottos is reflected in the SCC core value: “Life change happens best in small groups.” I’ve seen this principle ring true in every ministry area I’ve been involved in, so I believe that this role at SCC is a perfect fit for the way God has wired me to be.
