I was born in Martinez, California and committed my life to Jesus at the age of fifteen at a youth retreat. I was greatly influenced in college by the Christian small groups at the University of California at Davis, where I studied electrical engineering and spent time with other young people who had a heart to grow and follow Jesus.
One of my life mottos is reflected in the SCC core value: “Life change happens best in small groups.” I’ve seen this principle ring true in every ministry area I’ve been involved in, so I believe that this role at SCC is a perfect fit for the way God has wired me to be.
My wife Andrea and I have been married since 1996, and we have three children. In the early years of our marriage we lived in Eastern Europe. In the year 2000 we came back to San Jose California where I began serving as an assistant pastor. We moved to Sequim in 2007 and I've continued to enjoy the many new challenges of overseeing the small group ministry and teaching classes.
