Missions at Sequim Community Church
“This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.” John 15:8
SCC supports over 30 international and domestic missions endeavors and has a commitment to give 14% of our overall church budget to these every year. As our church continues to grow, so does our missions involvement!
Our commitment is not only financial, but practical as we have individuals and small groups involved in a number of local and overseas projects.
We encourage our small groups to adopt and pray for these various ministries and to make relational connections to the individuals we support, so that they have groups of people who care for them when they come to town and visit or give reports. We also have an active missions committee that meets every month to distribute funds and plan projects.
Every Spring Break our high school ministry sponsors a trip to the Door of Faith orphanage in Mexico, and we run regular adult short term mission trips under the leadership of Rev. Rick Dietzman, who is our minister to adults and a former missionary himself! Our trip in early 2009 was in Honduras.
You can pick up a directory which lists our various supported ministries at the information counter.
